Nick Devinck Photo
Who's that guy with the big lenses and funny accent?
 |
My name is Nick Devinck. I was born in France and make a living as a professional motorsports photographer. Trade magazines from Europe to Japan have published my work. |
I started in the photographic trade as a lab technician, then moved up to the world of commercial and fashion photography in Paris. I moved to Michigan in 1987 and currently work with 3 racetracks and 6 race associations. In the winter, I follow 2 snowmobile race series.

I have been attracted to racing since I was very young, but I couldn't compete because of my age, so I started taking photos of what I saw. As I grew up, my involvement with racing became more personal. I started racing as a passenger in sidecar racing, then later worked as a mechanic for the World GP Motorcycle Championship. I also did some racing of my own in sport promotion class (street bike) solo motorcycle.
|
As time allows, I am still active in racing a Yamaha TZ 250 GP motorcycle (yellow #66). I have never been able to try my hand at auto racing, but enjoy every other aspect of it.

I started coming to Waterford Hills in 1997 at the request of some SCCA customers, and I appreciated the good and friendly atmosphere of this club. It has given me the opportunity to better know a true gentlemen, Don Castle, who introduced me to the WHRRI Board of Directors.
|
I am happy to be part of the WHRRI Championship trophy program, and I'll also be happy to help WHRRI members with special requests.
