I was there today (Sunday) when Nolan got another shot at the overall track record, but had to leave during his afternoon session.

So, what's the new fastest lap ever turned at WHRRI?

Judi and I were at the track for a few hours today, and I believe we witnessed Nolan Allaer crank out the fastest lap that we've ever seen at 58.3 seconds!

OK, Vintage events have rocked some sub-minute laps in the semi-recent past (Dave Nikolas in his Budweiser-liveried Can-Am car comes to mind ...

That is beyond cool!

It was fantastic to see such a well subscribed (150 cars ???) Race 2 weekend, having the paddock packed and many teams spilling out onto the grounds reminded me of the late 1990's Vintage events.
The fact that we needed a shuttle van to transport folks in and out of the paddock really tells the tale ...
