With a Regional car, there's no real need for an SCCA logbook vs. a WHRRI logbook... If the car has no logbook, you can get a WHRRI one. If you beli...

Re: Tech Inspection

If cars are inspected at the school, would we get both the WHRRI annual inspection and an SCCA logbook?

Re: Newbie Questions

Almost done with the cage. Need to find a scrutineer to log book the car and want to ask about a couple things. Anyone on here a scrutineer?

More questions...Yeah!!! 2012 Race fees - have they been determined yet? I doubt I'll have the time to do all six Friday practice days, can I pay for them "a la carte"? Can I pick my own race #? Where do I get a transponder from? The OCSC application implies that I need a club member to spon...

Re: Newbie Questions

Then, in that case, remember the most important rule relating to the IT ruleset: IIDSYCYC! If It Doesn't Say You Can, You Can't! Everything you can do is spelled out in the ITCS. If it's not in there, you can't do it... Yeah, I figured that. IMO it's a stupid rule but whatever, I'll play by ...

Might be time to take a closer look at the rulebook...
I'm building to run ITB. Ok, I'll go back to my original plan of doing small footers as my 7th & 8th pick up points.

Instead of doing a 7th and 8th attachment point with a tube and footer on the inner fender well, can I do something like these?

How do I get an SCCA Novice permit? --Join S.C.C.A., and contact your region's License director. Can I get my annual tech inspection done the weekend of the on-track school session? --Yes, as ...

Re: Newbie Questions

Do not wait until the week before to purchase any safety equpment you may need. Your choices diminish the closer it gets to when the season starts.... Only safety equipment I need is a HANS device which will be purchased when Uncle Sam gives me back some money. :) Everything else (except the new Sp...

Re: Newbie Questions

Looking at the 2011 financials, of course the OCSC membership route is most cost effective. :P I can go shooting AND get practice in on those three day weekends I'll be "forced" to take to go racing. More questions... The calendar says it's winter. I hope it never really visits. My new F150 likes the fact that it's not getting that rusty in his first winter season.

Re: Newbie Questions

mike, 1) classroom session i believe so yes, track session no 2) yes, you have to become a member of the parent club to race. Also, the club orientations are only scheduled so often, possibly once a month i think. its in your best interest to not wait till last minute, as to where your orientation ...
