2017 Run Groups

I see some of the run groups have changed for 2017. Last year there was some talk about perhaps rotating the run groups from one race weekend to the next ... has there been any further thoughts about possibly doing that?

Re: Looks like our season is done ...

I was really proud of the effort Sean put in this weekend, most especially in the Sunday afternoon feature race. His lap times and middle sector times were quick and amazingly consistent. Of course, it helps to have a fully functional accelerator pedal. And with a weird twist of racing luck an...

Thanks everybody. 8)

Sean is hopeful that he will be recovered enough to be back in the saddle for Weekend #6. We'll see.

We were really looking forward to running in the I.T. Festival again this year, weekend after next down at Mid-Ohio. The "Skittles Gang" represented WHRRI in a big way. Major bummer. :x

I like your tag line, Brian. 8)

Looks like our season is done ...

I don't have all the details ... Sean Grogan broke his leg playing hockey last night, got taken out by a goon. It has been a very fun and exciting season competing with all of our buds in Spec Neon: Jon, Matt, Eric, Steve, Rod and Kyle, and their respective hangers-on. We'll cue it up again i...

Tickets

Sean found some leftover complimentary tickets that have 2015 and last year's schedule printed on them. Are these still valid for entry this season? I have a couple of high school kids I would like to invite out next race weekend. Thanks.

Re: We Have Points!

Jon Rogers can speak for himself ... but for some reason the results show him as a DNS for our first heat race on Weekend #1 ... where he actually won that race, Matt Saylor finishing 2nd and Sean Grogan was 3rd.

Group One ramblings ...

We are excited about the resurgence of competition to be seen in the back half of Group One in 2016. Returning are Spec Neons #37, #55, #14, #41, #28, #19 and probably the #44 ... plus also the #10 under new father and son ownership (younger half has an extensive resume in karting) and will be atten...

Just to clarify, the small space fee is $60 for the entire season, not per race weekend?

How cool is it that Bruce wins the drivers points championship in his last season of racing at Waterford? :P

Let's say Driver A qualifies a car on Saturday morning in 3rd position ... Driver B takes over the seat in the car for Saturday afternoon Heat Race #1. Does Driver B start in the 3rd position at the rear of the field?

Understood ... but the reality is, sticking much faster cars in the back of the pack with much slower cars often results in incident reports being filled out. Been there, done that a couple of years ago when we experimented with using just one pace car in Group One with Spec Neon bunched up in with ...

Re: I.T. Invitational at Waterford (Read; I.T.ONLY FEATURE R

A few of us Spec Neon guys were kicking around the question of how we would get our rightful place on the IT Invitational starting grid, in that during our normal morning qualifying session we would be running on our SN legal Hoosier SM7 tires on heavy 15x6" Neon wheels ... whereas in IT legal trim ...
