Re: Race weekend 6 and season afterglow.

Ditto Kyle's sentiments. The time and effort put forth by Joel and Jerry and all the many other volunteers that I know by mostly faces only ... Thank you, thank you, thank you. My only regret is that I didn't get involved with the WHRRI community many many years ago, that I spent too many years spin...

WHRRI family is the best!

On behalf of my driver, my partner and my friend ... I would like to thank all the drivers and workers who voted for Sean Grogan to receive the prestigious Vern Roberts Hard Charger Award. I know it means a lot to him, as it does me. I am so happy for him.

Re: race weekend 3 afterglow.

Not only did Kyle get his car back running again, I believe he was less than a second behind Grogan in pace on the course, starting 3rd on the grid for the feature! It was fun running with Phil this weekend (he only rubbed us once on the RF sidemarker lense tape in Swamp 8) ) ... but with a few word...

Re: quick and easy help needed-race weekend.

FYI to all others: There is a coffee can for donations to the workers on the table where they gather by the concessions area, into which I put a few George Washingtons this weekend.

Souvenior Booth Contact?

I'm in the process of having some "What The Flags Mean" t-shirts made (examples can be seen on WHRRI facebook page). Who might I contact about perhaps selling them in our Souvenior Booth?

Lost Cell Phone

I lost my 10+ year old flip phone yesterday, either near paddock spot #8 or maybe up on the hill by the concession-picnic area near Skeethouse turn. Not a big deal (the wife's been teasing me about needing a new phone for longer than I care to remember 8) ) except that it does have a ton of contact ...

Re: Spec Miata Tire Rule 2013

Since no one else has jumped in here yet, I'll offer my two cents worth from our first season of running at Waterford Hills last season in Spec Neon, using the same tires as Spec Miata ... 205/50R15's ... "sticky and high mileage" are pretty much mutually exclusive. We were able to get about two rac...

The above doesn't state what time the banquet starts ... and it is not listed on the WHHRI webpage calendar.

Re: Many sincere thanks ...

Sean did a lot of single speed go-karts in the Lansing area in his teens. He still plays with them from time to time, a semi-regular at Kart-2-Kart, runs open track days at Waterford, Grattan and Gingerman, etc. He has been a force in the local autocross community the last few years with "The Grape"...

Many sincere thanks ...

... for all the hard work and effort so many people put in to make an event like this happen: Steve Steeb, Dick Cole, the grid workers, the tech workers and all the corner personel that made this probably the most enjoyable weekend I have had at a motorsports event in a long time. On behalf of my pa...

Aren't the cars weighed after qualifying to avoid guys running light for a better starting grid position ... and then adding ballast later as needed?

Re: Scales?

Can't tonight ... I have an engine to put back together before the weekend starts. A friend of mine bought a 1970 Plymouth Duster for his son who is graduating from the Air Force Academy. The previous owner swapped out the slant six for a 318 V8. I'm installing a pair of 360 heads, an Edelbrock mani...
