While sorting through a few forgotten shelves in my Storage Closet of DOOM this afternoon, I came across something I'd completely forgotten about.
Near the end of the WHRRI 2005 racing season, photographer Nick Devinck took some photos out on pit lane, one of our fabulous workers, and one of our fearless drivers. Numerous people expressed an interest in purchasing an 8 x 10 print of these photos (only a few of us were seriously digital back then), so I contacted Nick and pre-purchased 10 copies of each to distribute to those who asked for them, thinking it would be no problem to get my money back. Ah, I was so naive back then! Needless to say, I still have most of them, and I ended up about $150 poorer and wiser.
So here I am, with these lovely 8 x 10's that I just can't bring myself to throw away. If anyone is interested in a copy of either photo, let me know. It would be nice if you offered up a small donation to make me feel better about losing all that money, but I'm not going to insist. I'd just like to see them find a good home. I'll have them over at Tech during the remaining race weekends, along with those banquet tickets that you must NOT forget to buy!
Please excuse the quality of my el cheapo scanner - the prints really are much nicer!
I believe in sharing the road with other drivers. They can have the part behind me.
