It has been confirmed that the VSCDA vintage formula vee series will be returning to Waterford Hills for the 2013 Vintage race weekend. The VSCDA VVV series, which started in 1999, is presently one of the best subscribed formula car series in the US. Starting fields typically approach 30 cars for some of the more established events. The series is looking to build on the 17 cars entered at Waterford last year - the first official year of the VVV series at the track.
The VVV series is not only strong in number of entrants but competition as well. The Sunday feature race in 2012 saw the first five finishers post fastest laps within 0.4 seconds of each other. Places 2 through 5 crossed the finish line within 1 second of each other.
Series entrants are thrilled to be returning to the Waterford event and the warm welcome they have always received from the Waterford community.
If you enjoyed watching the races last year don't forget the best view is always from the driver's seat. Cars are typically available for sale or rent at various price levels throughout the year. Please feel free to contact me or any other vintage vee driver if you are interested in the series.
