Paddock Tree-R.I.P.

Postby Joel Hershoren » Sun Dec 29, 2013 9:53 pm

as first reported by our man on the scene, Rich Johnston,

Our tree in the paddock is no longer with us. Seems the ice storm had far reaching damage.
While It may not be as iconic as former Oak Tree @ V.I.R. , it was our icon of sorts.

At least it fell in Winter.

Nooooooooo! Now I'll have to start qualifying better. Cause you know, that shady grid spot is motivation to qualify in back...

I vote a new tree be "installed" in its place for the next chapter. Maybe one that also produces speed-fruit.

Oh my. That is so sad.......Plant another tree (I would vote for another deciduous tree)????
We definitely know how you feel, Liz, but now you NEED to qualify better! :P

Very sad news. It was the Waterford's equivalent to VIRs oak tree.

Looking at the bright side.......lucky it didn't fall on any of us in a good wind storm....not much of a root-ball for that big of a tree, not that I'm an arborist ....anyway...R.I.P.
