It's No Ferris Wheel But...

Postby Rich Johnson » Thu May 15, 2014 3:45 pm

While a Ferris Wheel is still my primary goal... in the mean another goal was achieved. After two years and 6 ATT inspections we finally have 2 new telephone poles. ATT agreed both poles, orginally installed in 1949 ( 65 years ago ) were in danger of falling. Wednesday both poles were replaced and all is good. Note during the removal process I noticed that very and I mean very little wood was left holding the poll closest the play area in place. A strong well placed sneeze could of knocked it down. Lucky for us disaster was averted.

Cant wait to see that when I'm back at the track. It seems there is not much the ground is holding down anymore :P. The tree had very little roots, The polls had very little left in the ground. Hopefully this is all of it.

That's great news, Rich!
