Ummm. you both show video of evidence before you made contact that you were racing from the bottom of the hill where there was a waving yellow and standing white flag while almost hitting a safety worker just before hill top turn in. Shame on you both.

As you can see from my video, the white flag was evident, the yellow was not as prominent. I missed it, and made the move on John to the inside of three.

Personally I would have liked to see a safety car out, to pick up Bruce's Miata on lap one.

If you want to be to the letter of the law, Sean attempted a pass under yellow.

To Sean's credit, the previous lap to the incident, you can see that only the white flag was being displayed, no yellow displayed in both videos.

Sean would have assumed that meant the yellow is no longer being displayed and went to make the pass next time around and was already out of line of sight with the corner station as he was on driver's left of John.

I think Sean got screwed but rules are rules....

I think your punishment should be to go work turn 3 for a weekend.

I hope this is sarcasm. It is overt from the replies of Sean and John that neither did it intentionally, nor would they. There was no malicious undertone nor a blatant disregard for worker safety.

If it was not sarcasm, it would be great if you could descend from your soapbox. Perhaps the next time you are oblivious to a battle for a class lead behind you, and impede said battle, you could return to Drivers School.
