Dave,
I sent you an email and you're all set. See you at the school.

Vaughan is so right !! There is always room at flagging school and drivers make great flaggers.
Just ask Kimi how much fun it is to go to Belle Isle or to Mid O for ALMS with us when Waterford isn't racing.

Dave, you might not want to work Hill-Top. I was TOTALLY FREAKED the first time I worked up there (I think it was with John Firment - we were both youngsters back then!). The cars are so light and hanging on the edge of control I sort of didn't like it. But all the rest of the Stations are a BLAST!!! You will LOVE IT! steve

And we think it's fun when the car tries to pitch us out through the roof. I have never watched from there but I will this year. Didn't realize that it was that visable from outside the car.

The turn station at hilltop gives you a good vantage point to do a tech inspection of the underside of most sedans. The high curbing plus the weight transfer to the outside makes the station itself fairly safe as the momentum takes the cars away. Going unprotected toward 3 or down the hill can get scary.

I enjoy hilltop at rentals and agree with what Dennis said. My least favorite is 8 and 5 can be scary. Have had a car get two outside off coming out of Pelton and on one occasion had a 911 lose it in Swamp and come to a stop 30 feet from station 5.

Every station has it's little nuances but they are all fun because of one thing... The people who work them.
Any day spent at a station with any of our amazing flaggers is a great day! 8)
