Positive stuff. Thank you Team Novak

Post by Joel Hershoren »

Yep, lot's of good happens around here.

I would like to thank ( on behalf of the club ) Mike and Kristen Novak for a generous donation to the club.
Before you get too excited, no , it was not offering to repave the track.

They donated a golf cart for official use.
Yes, our rules set will need some attention. This is not a green light for everybody to use one.
The purpose was original to use at Vintage, but it is best as an overall use.

We need to cut down on too many non race cars parking in the paddock.
Having a shuttle should help that a great deal.
Plus, some folks in this club are still healing in the knee and hip dept.

so, Thanks Mike and Kristen !

Cheers,
Joel

Whats that? We are going to start racing gulf carts now? SIGN ME UP :D.

When someone says shuttle I image a big farm tractor hooked up to one of them long trailers that everyone sits on (likes those at the tractor shows). Would be nice but I don't think it would fit around paddock.

Can't match the Novaks, but the pace car is soon to have new shocks, (right Rich?) Ralph will be putting them on along with my retired but not tired Eibach springs.

I am hopping that we might be able to get the warehouse to kick in a deal on the shocks for the pace car. The v2 work will be no out of pocket cost to the club.

I drove the pace car for one lap. It's scary. No dampening left in the old girl. We better not do too good of a job or the pace car will not pull off at the stArt of a race. :)

Wow, the new shocks I put on the pacecar in 2006 or 2007 are shot already? I bet if that thing weren't hot lapped every lunch and worker break they would still be ok. How many miles would be on those if it were only used as a pacecar?
