FRIDAY PRACTICE CHANGES !!

Post by bmurphy210 »

To all racers, RE: Friday Practice:
There are some significant changes coming for Friday practices this season. Please read this carefully. There have been a few instances of unlicensed drivers and illegal vehicles participating in Friday practices. We occasionally have racers who use Friday practices as a low cost alternative to OTDs. Also, the Board feels that licensed member drivers should be entitled to benefit from their membership. Members registered to race that weekend will pay $10.00 less per session than last year!

Accordingly,
There is a new 4 tier rate schedule for Friday practices:
WHRRI license, registered to race that weekend $30.00
Other licenses, registered to race that weekend $40.00
WHRRI license, not registered to race that weekend $50.00
Other licenses, not registered to race that weekend $60.00
At check in, drivers will be required to present their competition license and a current logbook showing an approved annual tech within the last 24 months, with no subsequent incidents noted that require reinspection. We recognize that an undamaged car with an expired annual tech may still participate in practice sessions and be able to get an annual tech later that day. As always, we will not allow an unsafe car on the track.
As stated elsewhere, registration for the race weekend ends at 6:00pm the night before Friday practice. Check in will have a list from MSR of registered drivers. If you are not on it, you will be charged the not registered to race rate. It is your responsibility to make sure you have registered on time and correctly. Practice is a busy time and our limited staff will have neither the time nor the access to MSR to make corrections or exceptions for you.
