Medium size, original carbon fiber Hubbard and Downing. Excellent condition, but it expired end of 2022. Recertification runs $50.00 to about $150.00. I decided to get a new one that fit my neck rather than recertify this one. $150.00, either call 248 872 1176, message me or I will be in paddock spot 146 this weekend.

last I knew, the GCR didn't care about expiration dates on HANS devices. has that changed? (yes, I'll look it up and reply here unless someone chimes in soon.)

That is exactly right. The GCR doesn't say anything about expiration. I discussed this with Larry though. He had me look up the SFI 38.1 spec that the GCR says the devices must meet. They do say recertification is required every 5 years. I thought I had found a "loophole"!

As I recall, the FIA does not require re-certification. Thus, those ubits which as labeled as shown, would be exempt.

I have one pre-FIA and pre-SFI labeling (older than the one pictured above). I sent it in once for re-cert to get the SFI label; no FIA label given, but new tethers of course (sliding, as pictured above). Just re-upped again two weeks again on my gear annual without issue.
