This car is ready to hit WHRRI, with a set of wheels and tires and an oil change (oil and filter are included in sale).
I sold the spitter, wing, and wheels that are in some photographs and reinstalled the OEM wheels (on bald tires) since this listing.
I obtained my SCCA novice license last April and this (once completely stock 207,996 mile) RSX, which I purchased in 2022, can't compete in more than just the STL class, so it's not the car that I want to make legal for wheel-to-wheel road racing; it's perfect for you to use on track days, bracket racing, Gridlife, autocross, etc,.
This is the vehicle that I had my first-ever open track day with! After 16 weekends of: practicing, blowing the original engine, and k20z3 swapping it I’ve touched just about every bolt, wire, and hose that this car has.
The exterior has stickers that are easily removable. Most of the interior is long gone, but it does come with the working removed A/C components, the parts to undo the heat block-off, and some extras.
My math adds up to $20,954.62 of under two year old parts (have receipts for everything) and my original purchase price of $4,900, I’ve put $25,854.82 into it! Parting it out is still worth more than my $7,000 FIRM asking price, but personally I don’t want to do that to it as it drives flawlessly!
Bad:
1) Only spot of rust, on the driver's side's quarter panel, is bubbling (photographed).
2) All but one of the hood vents broke off, but I have a brand new unpainted replacement included.
3) I can’t figure out how to get the speedometer to read correctly between the transmission swap and oversized tires; it’s 5MPH slower or faster than of reality. A CEL will come on for VSS immediately upon starting to drive.
4) SRS light from the aftermarket seats.
5) It's street legal, but it's a track-built car, so it's loud and extremely stiff!
I can send videos of it on-track at Gingerman, Grattan, Mid-Ohio, and Waterford.
This RSX Type-S is located in my garage in northeast Detroit. I’m not a car flipper and I’m not hiding anything, so feel free to jack it up, compression test it in-person, whatever makes you feel good about signing its clean green title!
